The Mille Miglia

The annual Mille Miglia, is a 1,000-mile round trip from Brescia-Rome-Brecia.

Mobil 1 The Grid went to follow the event and some of the big names competing including and ex-Formula One drivers Berndt Schneider and Mika Hakkinen.

The world’s most famous historic road rally began in 1927 as a race and in 1955 motoring legend Stirling Moss set a course record. Two years later the race ceased to exist, until in 1977the race was revived as the ‘Mille Miglia Historica’, no longer a race but a parade of sports cars from the 1950’s.
